Why you should choose my service?

  1. Body repairs

CARFAX Canada says about 1 in 4 vehicles people look up have accident or damage history. Not every accident repair goes through an insurance claim. Some hidden repairs take a specialist to find. I measure the paint on each panel with a gauge. If a panel has been repainted, I check how the repair was done.

  2. The scan

I read fault codes, and I also read live data. I look for readings that are off. No warning light and no codes does not mean the car is running right.

  3. The price

After the inspection, I can help you negotiate the price.

  4. Used cars and insurance

I have years of experience in the used car market, private sales, and auto insurance. I can guide you on the car, and on what you still have to handle after you buy.

Fail

Honest private-sale example. Mechanical core is in usable shape for the kilometres. Price should reflect tires, rear brakes, and a developing valve-cover seep. One key only.

  • Keys, remotes, and spare provision

    Attention

One key/fob only. Budget a spare before you rely on the car.

  • Rear bumper and valance

    Attention

Parking scuff on the passenger corner. Cosmetic, not structural.

  • Visible oil leakage (seepage vs active drip)

    Attention

Seepage at the valve cover, not an active drip on the day of inspection.

  • Left rear lining remaining

    Attention

Rear pads about 3 mm. Plan a rear brake service in the near term.

  • Right rear lining remaining

    Attention

Rear pads about 3 mm. Plan a rear brake service in the near term.

  • Left front tire — tread remaining

    Attention

Front pair around 4/32. Replace before a wet-highway trip.

  • Right front tire — tread remaining

    Attention

Front pair around 4/32. Replace before a wet-highway trip.

“I had a great experience working with Jeff. He was honest, professional, and never pressured me into buying a car. He actually advised me not to buy the first vehicle after the inspection because he didn't think it was worth the price.”

“As someone who knew absolutely nothing about cars, I really appreciated how he took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for and explain everything clearly along the way. Thanks to his help I ended up finding and buying my very first car. Highly recommend, especially for first-time buyers.”

Questions

All questions
Which vehicles do you inspect?+

Any used vehicle I can inspect on site: cars, SUVs, pickup trucks, and vans, across Japanese, European, Korean, and other makes. I also inspect larger vehicles, including retired shuttle buses and box trucks. I can assess EV battery health with a professional scan tool. I do not inspect Teslas.

What are your service areas?+

I am based in Burnaby and work across Greater Vancouver. The places I go most often are Vancouver, Burnaby, Surrey, Richmond, the North Shore, the Tri-Cities, Langley, and Delta, plus nearby spots such as New Westminster and White Rock. The rate is based on distance, so a farther location costs more. Ask for a quote.

Do I need to be at the inspection?+

No. Text me the vehicle, the address, and the seller's name and number. I confirm with them and inspect where the car sits. If you are there, you can read the report before I leave. If you cannot make it, I email it within 15 minutes of finishing.

How long does it take?+

Most inspections take about 50 to 60 minutes, including photos, an OBD scan, and a road test when the seller allows it.

Can you do same-day?+

Often, if you text in the morning and the seller is available. Evenings and weekends are normal. Text or call to check the day's openings rather than assuming a slot.

Book by phone
